Sylvia Beachy is a foster care advocate and the founder of Rescue The Fosters, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. With five years of frontline experience in the foster care system—as a group home staff member at Elks Aidmore, Case Worker, Transporter, Parent Aide, and Behavioral Aide—Sylvia has seen the system from every angle.

 

Her firsthand experience exposed systemic failures that often separate families instead of supporting them, inspiring the creation of Rescue The Fosters. Today, Sylvia speaks passionately on foster youth, family preservation, and meaningful reform, advocating for safe, stable environments for children, support for youth aging out of care, and guidance for families navigating the Family and Juvenile Court systems.
